Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon MD, Adjunct Professor Dr. Thomas Nau graduated from the University of Graz, Austria, in 1994, and in 2003, he received his Austrian certification in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery from the Medical University of Vienna. Following this, he completed his residency in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery at the same university, where he gained extensive experience in managing a broad spectrum of conditions ranging from trauma to sports-related injuries by rotating through inpatient and outpatient wards.
Prior to joining King’s College London Hospital Dubai, Prof. Nau gained experience at Beijing United Family Hospital in China and the orthopedic surgery department of American Hospital Dubai, specializing in sports injuries and arthroscopic surgeries. Furthermore, Prof. Nau holds a continuous academic role as an Adjunct Professor at the esteemed Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Experimental and Clinical Traumatology in Vienna.
Prof. Nau has accumulated over 25 years of clinical experience, including a fellowship in trauma surgery, and he specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries and arthroscopic surgery. He has also published several articles in prominent medical journals such as the American Journal of Sports Medicine and serves as a reviewer for numerous academic peer-reviewed journals. Prof. Nau is proficient in both German and English.
